27b/6 is the instrument and the composition. It interferes with itself and the performer. It does not optimizes performer control. Instead, compositional form is dictated by the fragmentation and interruption of musical phrases. 27b/6 is purposefully impractical, leading to new modes of performance. The performance becomes an act of navigating a relentlessly faulty and inefficient system. 27b/6 is influenced by the work of Stanislaw Lem and Terry Gilliam’s Brazil.
